Sustainability:

Burning logs efficiently can be far cheaper than heating your home with other fossil fuels such as gas or coal.

Helping the local economy: locals sourced firewood aids Local markets and communities also supporting local livelihoods as well as local landscapes

Environmental benefits:

Harvesting Logs also supports sustainable woodland management, which also brings ecolocical benefits for wildlife and woodland habitats. Opening up space allows sunlight to penetrate areas, which enables a wider range of plants, insects and animals to live in the woodland.

Security:

A wood burning stove will provide emergency heating and possibly cooking facilities if the main energy supplies are disrupted.

Climate Change: Wood is a carbon-lean fuel. Net CO2 emissions are significantly lower than burning other fossil fuels.

Our supplies

our air dried seasoned hardwood & softwood firewood is an easy to light lower cost option than Kiln Dried Wood with the addition of a longer burn time

It is a mixture of mainly Oak, Ash and a few bits of hardwood.

  • No spitting or sparks with minimal ash to clear up.

  • Moisture Content: 15-20%

  • Log size: 6”-8”, 10”-12” or a mixture of the two sizes.

We do have other size able or if you need larger bits (to help keep in your wood burner or open fire) please let us know.

  • 1 load (1.3m3 worth equivalent to 1 bulk builder's bags loose)

  • Half load Kiln (0.6m3 worth equal to 1.5 bulk builder's bag loose)

Traditionally referred to as a “ton” bag, our builders bag is generously packed above the brim of the sack. Because of this, they are excellent value for money.

Stack some beside your log burner and the rest in your log store; or simply keep the full bag in your garage in the knowledge the best quality firewood is there for when you need it
